magazine rack

this is not only an iconic piece by carl auboeck II but also a masterpiece of econonomic creative thought. its as simple as iconic: a 2 meter piece of round brass rod is bent and then furnished with a piece of cowhide leads to a magazine rack that can be easily carried to the desired position – even hung to the wall. the magazine rack comes in two leather options (brown and black) and is a chic and timeless companion for your magazines and newspapers.

“old key”+“modern key” bottle opener

the old key was designed in 1938 by 14 year old carl auboeck III in 3 sizes then guided by his father, i´d say  still under the Biedermeier influence of their workshop ambience. 35 years later the modern key was designed by him - now a renowned industrial designer with international reputation. our archival research in the 00 years shows a resemblance of this modern key pattern with a very early design carl auboeck II of such a key in the 1920ties- maybe coincidence or reference to the father - who knows?
